In the Beginning. . .

At first, all we had were borrowed classrooms at the College of Nursing. From 1972-1978, the "office" was in the trunk of my car and the contact number for Tucson social work class information was my home phone. In September 1978, with Title XX development funding, we opened the Tucson Component office at 6th Street and Tucson Blvd, offering foundation MSW classes. And we've come a long way in the years since then.

Please plan to come–and invite all the graduates and friends of the School you know–to help us celebrate the beginning of the 30th year of the Tucson Component of the ASU School of Social Work!

Sincerely,
Ann W. Nichols,
Associate Director
